Lite includes a remote control as standard, separate from the optional Wi-Fi/app upgrade. Lite upgrades are available on single-unit retail orders with no minimum order quantity.

Specifications are based on the current supplier specification sheet. Input power is not cooling output or a continuous electricity-use measurement. Dimension axis order is not specified. The listed temperature range does not establish active heating capability or guarantee a temperature in every environment. Filtration and ozone do not replace routine cleaning and water care.

How to Choose a Cold Plunge Chiller

Start with your actual water volume, starting temperature, target temperature, and installation environment. These details are more useful for assessing your setup than horsepower alone.

Before choosing a model, read How to Size a Cold Plunge Chiller for Your Setup.

  • Water volume and tub setup: Record the water you plan to use, tub insulation, cover, and hose connections. A cooling test water volume is not a maximum supported tub capacity.
  • Placement: Consider ambient temperature, direct sun, ventilation, and hose routing. Follow the model manual for installation requirements.
  • Controls and filtration: Compare app access and filter types. Classic Standard and Smart have different app support; confirm the supplied version.
  • Electrical supply: Confirm the voltage and plug configuration for your order and installation. Do not assume a unit switches automatically between regional voltage versions.
  • Ongoing care: Check model-specific cleaning instructions and replacement filter compatibility before ordering.

To check compatibility with an existing tub, provide its actual water volume, port details, location, and desired temperature along with the chiller model you are considering.

What Affects Cold Plunge Cooling Performance?

Cooling time depends on water volume, starting and target water temperatures, ambient temperature, insulation, cover use, sun exposure, and the circulation setup. Use the complete conditions when reading a cooling test.

Supplier-reported cooling tests: The current specification sheet reports the following results. Each entry includes water volume, starting temperature, target temperature, ambient temperature, and time.

  • Lite 0.3HP: 200 L of water, from 23°C to 5°C, at 15°C ambient temperature: ≤6.2 hours.
  • Classic 0.3HP Standard: 200 L of water, from 23°C to 5°C, at 15°C ambient temperature: ≤5.6 hours.
  • Classic 0.3HP Smart: 200 L of water, from 23°C to 5°C, at 15°C ambient temperature: ≤5.6 hours.
  • Pro 0.5HP: 200 L of water, from 23°C to 5°C, at 15°C ambient temperature: ≤4 hours.
  • Pro 1HP: 250 L of water, from 30°C to 5°C, at 15°C ambient temperature: ≤2.5 hours.

These are source-reported results under the stated conditions, not guaranteed cooling times for your setup or independent test certification. The Pro 1HP test uses a different water volume and starting temperature, so these results must not be used to rank cooling speed across all models. Raw test curves, insulation and cover details, sun exposure, flow rate, and repeat-test data were not supplied.

Cold Plunge Chiller FAQs

What size cold plunge chiller do I need?

Start with actual water volume, starting and target water temperatures, ambient conditions, tub insulation, and cover use. HP alone does not establish compatibility. Provide these details when checking a model for your setup; the published test volumes are not maximum supported capacities.

How long does a cold plunge chiller take to cool the water?

There is no single cooling time for every setup. See the complete supplier-reported tests in the cooling performance section above, including water volume, starting temperature, target temperature, ambient temperature, and time. Different test conditions cannot be used to rank model speed, and the reported times are not guarantees for your installation.

Which GARVNIVE chillers have Wi-Fi and app support?

Lite does not include Wi-Fi/app control in its base configuration, but it is available as an optional upgrade for an additional USD 15. A separate remote control is included as standard. Classic Standard has no app support, while Classic Smart supports an iOS / Android app. Pro 0.5HP and Pro 1HP list iOS / Android app support. Confirm the Classic version supplied with your order.

Can I connect a chiller to my existing ice bath tub?

Compatibility needs to be checked for your tub and chiller combination. Provide actual water volume, port and hose details, installation conditions, and the model you plan to use. Do not assume that every tub connection or circulation setup is compatible.

Do filtration, ozone, or UV replace water care?

No. Follow the model manual for filter care, cleaning, and water maintenance. A filter rating or the presence of ozone or UV does not establish that water is sterile or remove the need for cleaning and water changes. Maintenance needs vary with use and water conditions.

Can I calculate running costs from the listed input power?

Listed input power alone is not a measurement of daily electricity use. Running cost depends on measured energy use, operating time, conditions, and your electricity rate. Use measurements from your setup instead of treating the listed watts as a guaranteed continuous draw.
